Betty Pickett is the Managing Partner of Chartwell Business Advisors. She has been involved in the staffing industry since early in her career. In the late 1990s and early 2000s, Betty was a VP of Managed Services for the Southeast and Mid-West regions of Spherion Corporation, a predecessor of Randstad Staffing.
In 2005, Betty launched an Atlanta-based staffing company, Ready Staff, Inc. During the years she owned Ready Staff, Betty was named a “Rising Star” of the Atlanta’s Women’s Business Council and Ready Staff was named as one of the Cobb Chamber of Commerce’s Small Businesses of the Year in 2010.
In 2011, Betty listed Ready Staff with Chartwell Business Advisors and it sold and the sale closed within 10 weeks.
After the Ready Staff sale was closed, Betty joined Chartwell Business Advisors and learned the skills necessary to handle staffing industry mergers and acquisitions. In April 2015, Betty acquired Chartwell Staffing Advisors from its previous owner.
Betty has served on several boards of directors of non-profit agencies, including The United Way of Atlanta’s Allocations Board for the determination of funding for United Way agencies.
Betty graduated with a bachelor of music degree from Arizona State University. She and her husband, Roger, live in the North Georgia Mountains. They have two grown sons and three granddaughters.
Patricia “Pat” Blais is Managing Director with Chartwell Business Advisors. Pat has spent over 25 years in the staffing industry, most recently as President and co-founder of S & B Staffing, a firm specializing in administrative Temporary and Direct Hire staffing in upstate New York. Previous to that she was Director of Operations for one of the largest national health insurance carriers, Technical Recruiter for Management Recruiters, and Branch Director for Kelly HealthCare in Massachusetts. Her knowledge of the industry as well as her understanding of the greater New England and Mid-Atlantic markets provides our clients with a unique advantage in the marketplace.
Over the years Pat grew her business to be one of the top 10 firms in the Business Review rankings on a consistent basis. She has served as a Board member for the Albany Chamber of Commerce, was past President of the New York Staffing Associations’ Albany Chapter, and has been a long-term American Staffing Association member. She also serves on several local boards, including the Women’s Employment & Resource Center, and is Treasurer of AnimaLovers, a local rescue organization.
Pat holds an MBA from Western New England University. She and her husband, Don, reside in upstate New York and have three grown children and four grandchildren.
